REFLECTION: What’s your biggest fear? Life holds many fears, which change along with history and circumstances. However, one fear seems to remain constant, the fear of being left alone. The Scripture readings for this week offer us a remedy for our fear of being alone.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, we thank you for never leaving us alone. You remain among us in your Eucharist and in the Living Word of Scripture. Amen.
FAMILY DISCUSSION/ACTIVITY:
Monday:
Read the Scriptures of Sunday and reflect on God’s desire to be with us always.
Tuesday:
In John 17, Jesus prays for you. Consider what Jesus would pray for you and your family.
Wednesday:
At a meal today try to bring the conversation around to awareness of God’s presence and our never being alone.
Thursday:
The Easter Season and liturgies are coming to an end. Do something today to celebrate the end of this season.
Friday:
Remember the needy today with a specific action.
Saturday:
Pentecost is the birthday of the Church. Make a birthday cake to eat at the family meal.
PRAYER:
Pray the Our Father that the kingdom of God will come among us.
