“Jesus said: ‘My sheep hear my voice. I know them and they follow me.’” (John 10:27)
READINGS:1. Acts 13:14, 43-52a
2. Revelations 7:9, 14-17
3. Gospel of John 10:27-30
REFLECTION: Shepherding is like a watchful, caring stewardship of God’s gifts. People shepherd people by nurturing their talents, by helping them be the best they can, by showing them what heights they can reach. It is the work we see embodied in the lives of persons such as Mother Teresa. It is the work of parents.
PRAYER: Jesus, Eternal Shepherd, you guide your church as a flock, calling each of us by name, watching over us, directing us as need arises. Protect us from all evil influences, be present in danger and heal us from injury. Abide with us in times of peace and light and lead us to rest when darkness comes. Amen.
FAMILY DISCUSSION/ACTIVITY:
Monday:
We can be at times like sheep. In what ways are you most like sheep?

Friday:
Pray the family rosary for all who have responsibilities as shepherds, parents, teachers, clergy, etc.
Saturday:

PRAYER:
Eternal Shepherd, one with the Father, help us to know and share, keep and proclaim your word; hearing your voice, may many follow you and be given eternal life. Amen.
