“Blest are they who have not seen and have believed.” (John 20:29)

READINGS:
1. Acts 5:12-16
2. Revelations 1:9-11a, 12-13, 17-19
3. Gospel of John 20:19-31

REFLECTION:  Believing without first seeing is the way the power of the Resurrection has continued in our world.  The faith that began with the apostles has passed down through the centuries and now we are part of the passing it along.  Through us, Jesus keeps giving life and the whole of creation rises again year after year.

PRAYER:  Father, Jesus has risen and lives with us.  Awaken in us a renewed appreciation of his presence.  Help us to sense his presence here with us as we gather as a family to hear his Word and to reflect on its meaning in our lives.  We ask this in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

FAMILY DISCUSSION/ACTIVITY:

Monday:
Think of some recent event in your life when you had the faith to say “Yes” to God.

Tuesday:
In meditation today, think of how Jesus reveals himself in your life and the life of your family.  How does he share his presence with you?

Wednesday:
With the family tonight, pray the Glorious Mysteries of the rosary praying for families to know Jesus in their life.

Thursday:
Do something today with the family or community that will make the earth more beautiful.

Friday:
If you didn’t have time before Easter, take time now to make some Easter bread.  Serve it at a family meal and think of bread and life, bread and Eucharist.

Saturday:
Make a sacrifice today that will assist the needy.

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, you show yourself to us in all the glories of springtime.  May these signs of your presence remind us to look for you in all things.  Alleluia!
